Kenny Beats

A studio. A screen. An artist who walked in with nothing walks out with a beat that sounds like it was always supposed to exist. The camera catches everything — the hesitation, the discovery, the moment the track locks in. Kenny Beats turned the production process into content and made the most private part of music-making the most watchable.

The Content

"The Cave" is the format: an artist enters Kenny's studio, describes what they want, and Kenny builds a beat from scratch while the camera records every decision. The genius is the transparency — viewers watch the FL Studio session, the sample selection, the drum pattern construction, the vocal processing in real time. It's a masterclass disguised as entertainment. Guests have included Vince Staples, Rico Nasty, Freddie Gibbs, Denzel Curry, and dozens of rising artists who benefit from the co-sign as much as the beat.

Beyond The Cave, the YouTube channel features production breakdowns, studio vlogs, and Twitch stream archives where Kenny builds beats live for an audience of producers studying every move. The content works because Kenny is both technically exceptional and genuinely funny — the personality makes the process accessible without dumbing down the craft.

The Come Up

Kenneth Charles Blume III. Studied at Berklee College of Music. Early production credits with LOUDPVCK in the EDM space. The pivot to hip-hop happened around 2018-2019, when placements with Rico Nasty, Freddie Gibbs, and Key Glock demonstrated a production range that defied genre boundaries. "The Cave" launched on YouTube and immediately found an audience hungry for behind-the-scenes music content that was actually educational. The Twitch streaming expanded the community. The debut album LOUIE in 2022 proved the production voice could carry a solo project.

Cultural Impact

Production credits with Vince Staples, JPEGMAFIA, Denzel Curry, and Idles — a client list that spans hip-hop, punk, and experimental music. "The Cave" has inspired a generation of beat-making content creators. The Twitch community functions as a real-time production workshop. Kenny Beats represents a new archetype: the producer as content creator, where the process is the product and the audience learns while being entertained. Currently one of the most in-demand producers in hip-hop, with the content operation running parallel to the session work. Both streams feed each other.
