Westside Gunn is one of the central figures of Griselda, the Buffalo-based rap network that, over the last decade, built one of the most influential independent operations in contemporary hip-hop — a roster of rappers, producers, and visual collaborators who reconstructed the East Coast sample-rap tradition for a moment that had largely stopped paying attention to it.
